Stuffed naan is a version of naan which has stuffing.Breads are the major part of indian meal.Roti,parantha,naan,stuffed naan are some of the examples of indian breads.Naan can be baked in tandoors and ovens.Stuffings can be of vegetables or meats.Naans are served in parties also.As naan is made of all purpose flour,so It is not healthy but is tasty.
All purpose flour – 2 cups
Salt – 1/2 spoon
Sugar – 1 spoon
Baking soda – 1 spoon
Oil – 2 spoons
Curd – 25 grams
Lukewarm milk to make dough.
Oil – 2 spoons
Cumin seeds – 1/2 spoon
Grated ginger – 1 spoon
Chopped green chilly – 1
Chopped onion – 1
Boiled,peeled.mashed potatoes – 3
Black pepper powder – 1/2 spoon
Red chilly powder – 1/2 spoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 spoon
Salt to taste
Butter to apply on naan
Pour all purpose flour in a mixing bowl.Also add salt and sugar.
Mix all the dry ingredients.
Make a well in the centre and pour curd,oil and baking soda.
Now mix dry and wet ingredients.
Make a dough with lukewarm milk.
Keep the dough for rest for 1 hour.
To make stuffing,Heat a pan.Pour 2 spoons of oil.
Add cumin seeds.
Add grated ginger,chopped green chilly when cumin seeds start spluttering.
When ginger and green chilly is done,add chopped onion.
Add black pepper powder,red pepper powder, turmeric powder,and salt when onions turn translucent.
Now comes the turn of mashed potatoes when spices are done.
Mix and saute till done.
Stuffing is ready.
Make balls out of dough.
Roll a ball a little and stuff.Again make a ball.
Now roll the stuffed ball.Prick the rolled naan to make it crisp.
Preheat the oven at 200 degree celcius.
Place the naan in oven tray.
Bake it at 200 degree celcius for 10 minutes.
Apply butter on the naan.
Stuffed naan is ready.Enjoy!
