Sahjan ke phool ki sabji
Sahjan ke phool ki sabzi is really good for health.It is commonly known as swanjane ke phool.Its scientific name is Moringa.Phool are boiled and squizzed.Then cooked in tempering of onions,garlic,tomato puree and curd.Methi ke ladoo and Amla jam are also of medicinal value.
Ingredients (Sahjan ke phool ki sabji)
Sahjan ke phool – 250 grams
Oil – 2 spoons
Cumin seeds – 1 spoon
Garlic paste – 1 spoon
Ginger paste – 1 spoon
Green chilly paste – 1 spoon
Onion – 1 chopped
Coriander powder – 1 spoon
Red chilly powder – 1 spoon
Turmeric powder – 1 spoon
Tomato puree of 2 tomatoes
Boiled peas – 1 cup
Curd – 2 spoons
Coriander leaves – 2 spoons
Method (Sahjan ke phool ki sabji)
Wash and boil sahjan ke phool for 2 whisles.
When cold,sqeeze away water.
Heat a kadai and pour 2 spoons of oil.
Add cumin seeds when oil is hot.
When cumin seeds start to splutter,add garlic,ginger and green chilly paste.
Add chopped onion,when pastes are done.
Add red chilly powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder when chopped onion are done.
When chopped onion is done,add tomato puree.
Add peas,when tomato puree matures.
When tomato puree,matures,add curd.
Cook continuously stirring till 1st boil.
Cover and simmer for 2 monutes.
Now add swanjane ke phool and cook stirring for 2 minutes.
Add coriander leaves and mix.
Serve and garnish with coriander sprig.
