Easy Misal pav recipe in hindi

Easy misal pav recipe in hindi is demonstrated step by step.Misal pav is a Maharashtrian street food.Sprouted moth dal is the main ingredient.Misal consists of usal and rassa.Usal is the dry bhaji of moth dal and rassa is the gravy made with liquid of moth dal.It is served with chopped onions, tomatoes and a slice of lemon.Aloo tikki burger recipe and Street masala maggi are also a tasty street food.

Ingredients (Easy Misal pav recipe in hindi)

Sprouted moth dal – 11/2 cup

Water – 41/2 cup

Turmeric powder – 1/2 spoon

Salt – 1/2 spoon

For usal

Oil – 1 spoon

Mustard seeds – 1/2 spoon

Asafoetida powder – 1/8 spoon

Curry leaves – 20-25

Cumin seeds – 1/2 spoon

Green chillies – 2

Medium sized onion – 1

Chopped garlic – 1/2 spoon

Chopped ginger – 1/2 spoon

Chopped tomatoes – 2

Coriander powder – 1 spoon

Kashmiri red chilly powder – 1 heaped spoon

Saunf – 1/8 spoon

Garam masala – 1/4 spoon

Boiled moth dal

Salt – 1 pinch

For rassa

Oil – 2 spoons

Mustard seeds – 11/2 spoon

Curry leaves – 8-10

Asafoetida – 1 pinch

Cumin seeds powder – 1 spoon

Medium sized onion – 2

Garlic paste – 1 spoon

Ginger paste – 1 spoon

Kashmiri red chilly powder – 1 spoon

Coriander powder – 11/2 spoon

Turmeric powder – 1/4 spoon

Saunf – 1/8 spoon

Garam masala – 1/4 spoon

Tomato puree of 2 tomatoes

Jaggery – 1 spoon

Coriander leaves – 2 spoons

For Kat

Oil – 4 spoons

Red chilly powder – 2 spoons

For serving

Farsan

Lemon juice

Method (Easy Misal pav recipe in hindi)

Boil sprouted moth with 1/2 spoon salt and 1/2 turmeric powder.

Separate dal and liquid.

Usal

To make usal,Heat 1 spoon oil.

Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds and asafoetida when oil is hot.

Add curry leaves when cumin seeds and mustard seeds start spluttering.

Add  chopped green chillies and onions and saute till done.

Add garlic and ginger paste and saute till done.

Add coriander powder,red chilly powder and turmeric powder.Saute till done.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook till tender.

Add saunf powder and garam masala and mix,

Add dal and mix.Add corinder leaves and mix.

Usal is ready.

Rassa

To make Rassa,heat a kadai and pour oil.

Add mustard seeds,asafoetida powder,cumin seeds powder and curry leaves.Saute till done.

Add grated onions and saute till brown.

Add garlic and ginger paste till done.

Add red chilly powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder and saute till done.

Add tomato puree and saute till moisture is evaporated.

Add dal liquid and let it boil for 10 minutes till gravy matures.

Add 1 spoon jaggery and boil for 2 spoons.

Add saunf powder and garam masala and mix.

Add coriander leaves and Rassa is ready.

Kat

To make kat,Heat oil and add red chilly powder.

Saute till done.

Kat is ready.

Usal,Rassa and kat is ready.Time to assemble.

To assemble Misal pav,take a plate.

Put ussal followed by rassa and then chopped onions,tomatoes,farsan,kat and lemon juice.

Serve pav with Misal.
